New Delhi, November 7, 2023 – Jammu & Kashmir, under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble Lt. Governor Sh. Manoj Sinha, is firmly dedicated in providing market linkages and fostering opportunities for entrepreneurs to explore both domestic and international markets. With a strong commitment to showcasing J&K as an ideal investment destination, the region is actively participating in World Food India 2023.The J&K’s delegation, led by Sh. Khalid Jahangir, Managing Director of JKTPO, and under the guidance of Sh. Vikramjit Singh, Commissioner/Secretary of the Industries and Commerce Department, J&K seized the opportunity to engage in crucial Business-to-Government (B2G) and Government-to-Government (G2G) meetings.

These meetings played a pivotal role in exploring the sourcing of agricultural, horticultural, and processed food products from Jammu and Kashmir, as well as unveiling potential investment opportunities in the region. The JKTPO delegation held significant discussions with prominent industry leaders, including Sharaf Group, LuLu Group, Ghassan Group, Haldiram TPCI, Vietnam Embassy, Amul, ITC, Britannia, LT Foods (Dawat Basmati), Godrej Tyson Foods National Federation of Corrugated Boxes of India and HRS Process Systems.

During these meetings, the distinguished business houses were provided in-depth insights into the unparalleled incentives offered by Jammu and Kashmir, which are considered among the best in the country. The unique selling points (USPs) of the products offered by J&K, including Geographical Indication (GI) tagging, production capabilities, and the unwavering support provided by JKTPO in facilitating investments and sourcing of products, were also highlighted.

Eminent personalities and leaders from the business fraternity, such as Mr. Sharaf-ud-din Sharaf, Vice Chairman of Sharaf Group UAE, Mr. Yusuf Tambawala, Vice President of Ghassan Aboud Group UAE, Mr. Salim VI, Chief Operating Officer of Lulu Group UAE, Mr.Do Duy Khanh, First Secretary at the Embassy of Vietnam, Mr. Ranjeet Kohli, CEO & Executive Director of Britannia, and Mr. Vivek Chandra, CEO of LT Foods, Mr. Sanjay Singanai, Vice President Handiram, Mr. Kaif Siddiqui, General manager Godrej Tyson  and other top management of these companies participated in the meetings.

The exhibition is underway were in 24 exhibitors from Jammu & Kashmir are participating, the successful participation of the JKTPO in World Food India 2023 underlines the organization's commitment to fostering economic growth in Jammu and Kashmir by connecting with industry leaders and creating opportunities for trade and investment in Jammu & Kashmir.
